Guide and introduction to Mesmerizing Labyrinth’s

Introduction and what to do in The Labyrinth:

What is the Mesmerizing Labyrinth?

The mesmerizing is located in the ‘Outland’ section right above Adventure, continuing into the Outlands you’ll have to head over to the Realm of Fighters. There, in the top right, you can find the Mesmerizing Labyrinth. You unlock it after beating the main adventure stage, 3-16.

To put it simply, it’s a type of dungeon. Consisting of 10 floors, the tenth floor has a boss.

The 5 difficulties of the Mesmerizing Labyrinth.

Currently, there are 5 difficulties in the Labyrinth, each being more difficult than the previous one. The first one is called ‘New Life’ this is the easiest of the 5. It has a CP recommendation of 8.5k. This level is a relative breeze if you’ve levelled your 4 main characters and upgraded their skills. The boss of New Life is Twisted Twins and its CP is around 17,2k. When finishing this difficulty, you can get 3-star plays.

The second difficulty is Gateway to Fantasyland, it’s recommended cp is 17k. If you just finished 3-16 and had a challenging time with it; then it isn’t recommended to do this difficulty yet. The boss of Gateway to Fantasyland is Twisted Twin and its CP is 23k. When finishing this difficulty, you can get 3-star plays.

The third difficulty, Twisted Images, has a 22,9k CP recommendation. There isn’t much of a CP difference with the Gateway to Fantasyland, so if you can do this stage even with some difficulties. It is recommended, you can get 4-star plays from this stage, unlike the Gateway to Fantasyland.
The boss is Olivia, with a total CP of 35k.

The fourth difficulty is called Echoing Laugh, it boasts a strong 34,8k CP recommendation and has a chance to drop a 5-star play upon clearing it. I you are able to consistently clear this one without dying, then it is recommended. The boss is Twisted Twins and its CP is around 50,7k.

The fifth difficulty is called Molten Magma, it’s recommended CP is 47,5k. This has a higher % to drop a 5-star play. But is also a pretty hard difficulty if you’re not careful. Just like before if this difficulty becomes easy for you, you should always run this one just so you have a higher chance of getting a 5-star play. The boss is Olivia, bolstering a rough 72k CP.

The sixth difficulty will be coming soon, we don’t have any confirmed dates yet. It is safe to assume the recommended CP will be near 55-60k, we don’t have any clues on the possible boss. We may see a new boss or a stronger version of Olivia or the Twisted Twins. When this difficulty is out, it’ll become the best difficulty to farm 5-star plays with some luck.

What are all the exploration choices?

In total, there are 7 exploration options. One of them is forced upon you on floor 10, which is the boss icon. A red diamond with dark red and black flames.

Out of the explorations you can choose, two of them are fights. You have the yellow-coloured cube with swords in it, this is a low-risk fight. Here you fight normal monsters you see in adventure. The orange-coloured cube with swords in it is a dangerous fight, it gives greater rewards and higher chances to get a higher star play. Here you fight against the shadows of heroes. They are pretty strong, so choose carefully!

The four other choices are all non-fights, one of the choices you can only find once on floor 8. That is the merchant, a bright pink cube with a scale in the middle. The merchant sells various goodies, some are bought with Dubostrial, and others with the labyrinth currency. With the merchant, you can buy stamina potions at a discounted price. (40 Dubostrial for 100 stamina). You can also buy Muse (used to craft into one big muse and exalt a play) with Dubostrial. Materials to level up skills and ascend characters can be bought with the lab currency.

Explore, a dark, pink-coloured cube with an eye in it and a half-finished triangle. When you enter this stage, an NPC will ask you three questions. Depending on how many you get right, you’ll get all your rewards.

Supply, this is the green cube with a weird-looking tree. This is a resting point, you can either heal all characters by 30% of their max hp, increase their ult gauge by 50% of max ult energy or decide to revive a random character with all their hp back.

Serendipity, the light blue cube with some leaves inside of, this stage sends you into a room with a box. In this box, you can either get the normal reward or find a Bear inside of it. Upon killing the bear you can receive rare materials. Their rewards vary from 3-star plays, up to 5-star plays. They also give magic brushes and a higher amount of lab currency. It is recommended to always go for these stages, they offer no combat (unless you fight the 500 CP bear) and have a chance to get something really strong. It is recommended to always go for this stage, unless if you need to heal and have a supply stage.

The first boss, Twisted Twins.

The Twisted Twins can be recognized as the two floating and spinning rings, it is an Umbra elemental boss. And has 7 skills.

‘Overloaded Launch’ Every few seconds it releases its basic attack, dealing P.DMG to a single target.

‘Piercing Light’ They change forms and emit blinding light, dealing P.DMG to enemies in a straight line. It is recommended to put a tank on the far upper right or left, and your rangers/healers on the opposite on the bottom, this way they won’t take damage from this type of attack.

‘Overflowing Energy’ They change forms once again attacking a target and dealing damage to the enemies nearby. This is why it’s also recommended to have a tank alone and the others not too close.

‘Centrifugal Whirl’ They spin a certain area, knocking back all nearby enemies. As long as your tank stays far away from your backline this doesn’t cause much of a threat.

‘Reminiscence Revival’ They summon a few tokens and go into an invincible state. If you are unable to kill all the tokens within a certain time limit, the twisted twins will recover some amount of hp. If you manage to kill them all, the Twisted Twins go into an exhausted state.

‘Piercing Wace’ They change forms and release a shockwave, stunning all enemies in the front and dealing P.DMG. As said before, this isn’t much of a threat to your backline.

‘Sucion Whirl’ They absorb the mind of living creatures dealing P.DMG over time and healing themselves.

The second boss, Olivia.

Olivia is the strongest current boss in The Labyrinth. She is an Umbra character and has 4 skills.

‘Jade and stone burned together’ These are the 3 other mini Olivias gathered around her. If you kill one of them, it deals massive damage to the main boss. It is not mandatory to kill these three but can help. They all have different elements, one is Hydro, one is Pyro and the last is Anemo.

‘Spur’ She shoots a single target in the front, this is why it’s best to have a tank on the frontlines and a healer to support. Then 2 ranged damage dealers or durable close ranged damage dealers.

‘Gun spin’ This is a strong AOE attack and is one of the reasons why you need a strong healer. She charges up this attack, by moving up and back before unleashing a spinning blade.

‘Energy Gathering Laser’ This launches a high-damage laser into a single direction, hitting the front line and backline if they are in the way. This is why it’s best to have your tank on the far right or left, and your healer and damage dealers on the opposite side on the backline.

Team recommendations – What units to use?

It depends on the units you have, but there are definitely two roles that you must have for the labyrinth. Healer and a guardian. A healer (Nuno, Liv, Screamer,…) is most needed as you don’t recover HP after a battle unless you have ‘buffs’ that give you HP% when entering a battle, or if you find a supply floor and use the healing option.

A guardian (Sheru, Gyldan, Ceaser, Kear,…) is needed to tank in all the battles, mostly positioned to the far right or left of the frontlines. This way your ranged damage dealers can be placed on the opposite side in the backline. This is vital in the boss stages, as they both have strong AOE attacks it is better to keep your rangers and squishy units as far away as possible from the tank.

It is good to have at least one ranged (Rita, Media, Fene,…) damage dealer, even two if possible. Unless you have a strong AOE healer, it won’t be recommended to use a second frontline( Like Eluya, Sirslet, Eupheria,…) against the boss. In most other stages this will be fine.
